Terms of Service

Welcome to MyCircal. By using the app, you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, not lawyerly, but they are still a legal agreement between you and Eirtec Ltd (the company that runs MyCircal).

1. Your account

You need to be at least 13 to use MyCircal. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for the activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect someone else has access.

2. Acceptable use

Don't use MyCircal to:

• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other people.
• Post unlawful content, including content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
• Spam, scrape, or otherwise abuse the service.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems.
• Use MyCircal to facilitate fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

3. Your content

You own the events, messages, purchases, and other content you create in MyCircal. By posting content to a group, you grant other members of that group the ability to view, copy, and (where the app allows) edit it.

You also grant MyCircal a limited licence to store, transmit, and display your content for the sole purpose of providing the service.

4. Payments and settlements

MyCircal tracks who owes whom; it does not move money. Any actual transfer of funds happens outside the app, via your bank, your card, or a payment service of your choice. MyCircal is not a payment processor, a money-transfer service, or a financial institution.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the amounts you record. Disputes about money owed are between the people involved, not us.

5. Free and paid features

The core of MyCircal is free. Some features may be offered as paid add-ons. Pricing, billing, and refund terms for any paid feature will be disclosed before you purchase, and managed through the App Store or Google Play in line with their policies.

6. Third-party integrations

If you connect MyCircal to a third-party service (e.g. Google Calendar, Splitwise), your use of that service is governed by its own terms. We're not responsible for how third-party services behave.

7. Privacy

Our handling of your data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep MyCircal running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or other interruptions, except where required by law.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Sign out → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, or if we're required to do so by law.

10. Disclaimers

MyCircal is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't promise that the service will be error-free, secure, or that it will meet every expectation.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eirtec Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MyCircal. Our total liability for any direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months (which is usually zero).

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be heard in the courts of Auckland, New Zealand, unless local consumer law in your country gives you a different right.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects you, we'll notify you in-app and by email before it takes effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
